In detail

Why this product?

This set combines a classic moss pole, dedicated anchor and matching clear aroid pot into one complete stability system.

As a climbing plant becomes taller and heavier, substrate alone becomes an increasingly weak foundation for a vertical pole. The anchor transfers the pole's leverage into the pot itself, making the setup stable from the beginning.

It is the easiest way to start a long-term moss pole setup with the correct pole, anchor and pot combination already matched.

Why it works
  • Mechanical connection: The anchor locks the pole to the pot instead of relying on substrate pressure.
  • Correct geometry: The anchor fixes the pole in its intended closing position.
  • Matched sizing: Moss pole size, anchor and pot diameter are selected as one system.
  • Long-term stability: Helps resist leaning and rotation as the plant becomes heavier.
  • PETG anchor: Designed for repeated exposure to moisture and fertiliser.

Installing the anchor from the beginning also avoids having to repot and disturb an established root system later simply to correct an unstable pole.

Best suited for

Available combinations:

  • S10 and S12
  • M14 and M16
  • L18 and L21
  • XL24 and XL28

The letter indicates the moss pole size. The number indicates the top diameter of the matching aroid pot in centimetres.

Particularly useful for Monsteras, Philodendrons and other climbing aroids intended to remain on an extendable moss pole system long-term.

How to use it

Install the anchor and pole in the empty pot before adding substrate and the plant.

The anchor occupies part of the internal pot volume. When moving from an unanchored setup, allow approximately 4 to 8 cm of additional pot diameter depending on the existing root system and plant size.

Use the anchor-compatible closing position:

  • S: S
  • M: M2
  • L: L3
  • XL: XL3

Fill the pot with a properly aerated substrate such as premium aroid mix.

A rapid dripper is strongly recommended for easier top watering and fertilisation through the pole.

What’s included
  • 1 classic moss pole in your selected size and colour
  • 1 matching PETG standard anchor
  • 1 matching clear PET aroid pot

Sphagnum moss, moss pole filling mix, rapid dripper, fertiliser and plant ties are not included.
