Transform your IKEA MILSBO Tall into a purpose-built plant cabinet with a modular shelving system made from clear acrylic.

Each set replaces the original glass shelves with a considered combination of full, diagonal and U-shaped surfaces. This gives you more freedom to arrange plants at different heights, create openings for taller specimens and make better use of the cabinet’s vertical space.

Every acrylic component is designed and manufactured in Czechia specifically for the IKEA MILSBO Tall.

These sets are designed exclusively for the IKEA MILSBO Tall. They are not compatible with MILSBO Wide or other cabinet models.

Choose shelves for your layout

• Full shelf: Creates a complete growing level for grouping several plants at approximately the same height.
• Diagonal shelf: Provides planting space on one side while leaving an opening for a taller plant to grow from the level below.
• U-shaped shelf: Creates shelf space along the back and sides while leaving a large central opening for taller growth.
• Small side shelf: Adds a narrow planting surface along one side without extending across the cabinet’s full width.
• Small corner shelf: Creates a compact raised position for a small pot or display item while preserving the surrounding open space.

Arrange the shelves around the current size of your plants and leave sufficient room for new foliage, watering and routine maintenance.

The pegboards supplied with the 7-piece set are compatible with selected IKEA SKÅDIS accessories and PlantScraper pegboard attachments.

No drilling, cutting or permanent cabinet modification is required. Installation instructions are included.

Fit the shelves

• The full, diagonal and U-shaped shelves use the original IKEA shelf brackets supplied with the cabinet. Retain these brackets when removing the original glass shelves.
• The small side shelf includes 2 PlantScraper Pro brackets.
• The small corner shelf includes 1 PlantScraper Pro bracket.
• PlantScraper Classic replacement brackets and additional Pro brackets are available separately.

If upgrading a main shelf to Pro brackets, the required quantities are:

• Full shelf: 4 Pro brackets
• U-shaped shelf: 4 Pro brackets
• Diagonal shelf: 3 Pro brackets

Remove the protective film from both sides of every acrylic component before installation. The film can make the surface appear cloudy, scratched or marked before it is removed.

Fit every support securely before placing plants on the shelves. Distribute pots across the supported areas and account for their increased weight after watering.

Empty shelves before repositioning them and support each component carefully during removal or installation.

Clean the acrylic with mild soap, water and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, acetone and alcohol, as these can damage the material.

The stated piece count refers to the acrylic shelves and pegboards. The hygrometer, smart plug, brackets and other mounting components are additional accessories.

The hygrometer and supplied mounting accessories are provided in white or black according to the selected colour. The Wi-Fi smart plug is always white.

• Diagonal shelf: 66.5 × 33.5 cm overall
• U-shaped shelf: 66.5 × 33.5 cm overall
• U-shaped shelf opening: 46.5 × 21.5 cm
• Small side shelf: 33.5 × 9.7 cm
• Small corner shelf: 10 × 10 cm

Pegboard dimensions

Both pegboards are made from 3 mm clear acrylic:

• Wide back pegboard: 60.5 × 35.5 cm
• Small side pegboard: 28.5 × 13.5 cm

The acrylic shelves and pegboards remain clear in both colour options.

The cabinet, plants, pots, grow lights, fans and pegboard hanging accessories are sold separately. The main shelves require the cabinet’s original IKEA brackets or separately purchased compatible brackets.
