1. Cut a piece long enough to wrap around the stem and its support.
2. Place the soft side against the plant.
3. Overlap the fastening surfaces and press them together.
4. Leave enough room for the stem to move and thicken.
5. Check the fit regularly and loosen or reposition the tie before it becomes tight.

Individual pieces can be reused when repositioning a plant or moving it to a different support.
