HESI HousePlant Elixir supplies primary nutrients, calcium, magnesium and micronutrients for both vegetative growth and flowering. Its adjustable dosage makes it suitable for everything from slow-growing windowsill plants to actively growing tropical collections.

Adjust feeding to the plant’s growth rate and available light. Plants growing slowly or receiving limited light generally require less fertiliser than plants producing new growth rapidly.

HousePlant Elixir is a complete base fertiliser, so avoid combining it at full strength with another complete nutrient programme. Reduce or delay feeding when using a substrate that already contains fertiliser.

Measure the fertiliser into water and mix thoroughly before application.

Watering dosage

• Slow-growing plants: 2 ml per litre of water.
• Fast-growing plants: 3 to 5 ml per litre of water.

Foliar feeding

• Mix 1 ml per litre of water.
• Apply only to plants with foliage suitable for foliar feeding.
• Keep treated leaves away from direct sunlight and strong grow lights until dry.

Apply 1 to 4 times per month, adjusting the frequency to the plant’s growth rate, light levels, substrate and watering requirements. Use the fertiliser as part of normal watering rather than adding an unnecessary extra watering.

Begin conservatively when feeding a newly purchased plant or changing from another fertiliser. Fertiliser cannot compensate for insufficient light, unsuitable watering or unhealthy roots.
