Introduce beneficial fungi and bacteria directly around compatible plant roots.

Mycorrhiza Premium is a powdered microbial inoculant containing mycorrhizal fungi, Trichoderma and beneficial bacteria. It is most useful during repotting, when the powder can be placed in direct contact with living roots.

Once compatible mycorrhizal fungi establish a relationship with a plant, their fine fungal threads extend beyond the root surface and may help the plant access water and nutrients from a larger area of substrate.

• Nine endomycorrhizal species: Form associations with the roots of many herbaceous plants, including compatible houseplants.
• Nine ectomycorrhizal species: Extend compatibility to certain woody plants and trees. Not every fungal species in the blend associates with every plant.
• Trichoderma and beneficial bacteria: Add further microorganisms to the root zone.
• Direct root application: Places the inoculant where compatible fungi need to establish.
• Concentrated powder: Can be applied during repotting, to cuttings or through watering.

Mycorrhizal fungi work with living roots. This product complements suitable light, watering, substrate and nutrition. It cannot compensate for damaged roots or unsuitable growing conditions.

Use Mycorrhiza Premium when:

• Repotting compatible houseplants
• Planting rooted cuttings
• Establishing plants in fresh organic substrate
• Introducing beneficial microorganisms to an established root zone

It is not a fertiliser, rooting hormone or treatment for root rot, pests or yellow leaves. Results depend on the plant, substrate, existing microbial community and growing conditions.

Some fungicides can affect beneficial fungi. Check the compatibility of any fungicide before applying both products to the same root zone. Avoid unnecessary high-phosphorus feeding while the relationship is establishing.

For plants in self-watering pots, direct application to the roots during repotting is preferred. For plants on moss poles, apply the product around the roots in the pot rather than adding it to the pole or dripper.

During repotting

Apply 1 to 2 g per litre of existing root-ball volume.

1. Remove the plant from its pot while preserving healthy roots.
2. Distribute the measured powder over exposed roots and around the root ball.
3. Position the plant in fresh substrate.
4. Water normally and allow excess water to drain.

Base the dose on the existing root ball, not the capacity of the new pot. There is no need to remove healthy substrate solely to apply the powder.

For cuttings

Lightly coat the roots of a rooted cutting before planting.

For an unrooted cutting, apply only a small amount around the cut end or future root zone. Mycorrhizal colonisation can begin only after compatible living roots develop, so this product should not be treated as a rooting hormone.

Dispense a small amount into a separate container for dipping. Keep unused powder clean and dry.

For established plants

Mix 1 g per litre of water, stir thoroughly and apply through the substrate from the top. Repeat every two weeks or when appropriate. It does not need to accompany every watering.

Use the mixture promptly and stir again if the powder settles.

For an established plant in a self-watering pot, apply the mixture through the substrate from above. Allow it to drain, then empty and rinse the reservoir before resuming the normal watering routine. Do not add the powder directly to standing reservoir water.

Storage and handling

• Keep the pouch tightly sealed, dry and protected from direct sunlight.
• Store at 0 to 25°C.
• Use a clean, dry measuring tool.
• Avoid inhaling the powder or getting it in your eyes.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Choose a pouch containing:

• 100 g: Covers approximately 50 to 100 L of root-ball volume at the repotting rate, or makes 100 L of watering mixture.
• 250 g: Covers approximately 125 to 250 L of root-ball volume at the repotting rate, or makes 250 L of watering mixture.
