This self-watering moss pole set combines a self-watering aroid pot, PETG anchor, self-watering wick and classic moss pole in one matched system for climbing indoor plants.

The anchor stabilises the pole from inside the pot while the wick carries moisture from the reservoir into sphagnum moss. Because the components are sized to work together, you avoid the weak fit, uncertain stability and improvised watering path that can result from mixing unrelated pots, poles and supports.

It is designed for installation when first adding a moss pole or during repotting, before roots fill the pot and surround the anchor.

• Anchored support: Connects the classic moss pole to the pot instead of depending on substrate alone for stability.
• Reservoir-fed wick: Moves moisture upward into pure sphagnum moss by capillary action.
• Rootable D-shaped pole: Gives aerial roots a moist growing medium rather than only a solid climbing surface.
• Extendable system: Add another classic pole of the same size and closing position as the plant grows.
• Correct materials: The anchor is PETG. Crystal-clear poles are PET; clear matte, white and black poles are polypropylene.

The reservoir supports moisture from below, but pole height, moss density and growing conditions affect distribution. The setup still requires moisture checks, top watering and fertilisation from above.

• S12: S pole, S anchor and 12 cm pot.
• M15: M pole, M anchor and 15 cm pot.
• L18: L pole, L anchor and 18 cm pot.
• XL21: XL pole, XL anchor and 21 cm pot.

The letter identifies the moss pole size. The number identifies the pot diameter in centimetres. Allow space for the anchor and the plant’s current roots when selecting a size.

Compatible classic rapid drippers are S, M2, L3 and XL3. These sets are not compatible with front-opening moss poles, standard aroid pots or other brands’ systems.

1. Fit the anchor into the empty pot and assemble the classic pole in the required position: S, M2, L3 or XL3.
2. Run the included wick from the reservoir through an available opening at the base of the pole and into the sphagnum. The current pot design has no central wick hole.
3. Fill the pole with moistened long-fibre sphagnum moss, keeping continuous contact between moss and wick.
4. Add the plant and a suitable mineral substrate around the anchor. Do not use moss pole filling mix in this wick-fed setup.
5. Position the stem’s aerial-root side against the pole and secure the stem loosely with the included tie.

Approximate dry sphagnum per pole: S 15 g, M 30 g, L 50 g and XL 100 g. Packing density affects the actual amount.

Check the reservoir and moisture along the full pole, especially near the top. Water from above whenever the upper moss needs it. A matching classic rapid dripper also delivers correctly diluted mineral fertiliser directly to aerial roots. Watch the reservoir during top watering to prevent overflow.

Support the pot from underneath when moving it. Roots may grow through the anchor, so treat it as a long-term component rather than removing it for routine cleaning.
