Soil and Maintenance Recommendations

Our pots are compatible with both mineral and organic soil mixes. We recommend adding a layer of mineral mix at the bottom for optimal drainage and aeration.

For larger pots (18 cm or 21 cm), mineral substrates, like Lechuza Pon, would be too small and slip through the drainage holes. We recommend bigger diameters in substrate for these pots.

To maintain a healthy growing environment, we suggest cleaning the water reservoir once a month to prevent the buildup of residues and mineral deposits.

While the use of a wick is generally unnecessary, for our two largest pots, incorporating a wick can be beneficial. It ensures that moisture reaches the upper portions of the soil, which can be challenging depending on individual conditions and the soil mix used.
