HESI Root Complex combines micronutrients, selected vitamins, amino acids and other plant-active substances. It is formulated to help young plants and cuttings establish functional roots while supporting stressed plants as they adapt to changes in their growing environment.

Root Complex is a biostimulant rather than a complete fertiliser. Unlike a dedicated rooting hormone such as HESI ClonFix, it provides broader establishment and recovery support rather than a concentrated rooting treatment.

Use Root Complex for:

• Unrooted and newly rooted cuttings
• Seedlings and young plants
• Plants being repotted or transplanted
• Plants recovering from transport or relocation
• Established plants experiencing temporary environmental stress
• Soil, coco, hydroponic and semi-hydroponic cultivation

It can accompany a suitable base fertiliser and other compatible boosters. However, routine combination with HESI HousePlant Elixir is not recommended, as HousePlant Elixir already contains overlapping root-supporting and vital components.

Root Complex does not treat root rot, pathogens or pest damage. Correct waterlogged substrate, poor drainage, damaged roots and other underlying problems before relying on a supplement for recovery.

Standard application

Mix 5 ml per litre of water, equivalent to 50 ml per 10 litres.

Use this concentration for propagation, after repotting or relocation, or when providing short-term support to a stressed plant.

Frequent or long-term application

Use half strength at 2.5 ml per litre of water when applying Root Complex regularly or over an extended period.

Apply through the growing medium as part of the plant’s normal watering routine. In hydroponic or semi-hydroponic systems, add the measured amount to the prepared nutrient solution.

Do not add an unnecessary extra watering solely to apply the product. Root Complex supports recovery, but excessive watering or feeding can create additional root stress.
