Chunky European perlite for increasing air space, drainage and physical structure throughout indoor plant substrate mixes.

The approximately 5-15 mm particles remain physically meaningful within the mix instead of disappearing into the organic fraction like very fine perlite.

• 5-15 mm grading: Large particles separate other components and preserve substantial spaces for air and water movement.
• Very little dust: Carefully selected low-dust material reduces the fine fraction that can settle into substrate gaps.
• Lightweight structure: Increases porosity without adding substantial weight to the pot.
• European origin: A defined mineral component used throughout selected PlantScraper substrate formulas.
• Laboratory analysed: A tested sample measured approximately pH 6.1 and exceptionally low conductivity of 0.016 mS/cm.
• No added fertiliser: Changes the physical root environment without preloading the mix with nutrition.

Mix throughout the substrate by volume. Do not use it only as a drainage layer at the bottom of the pot, because its structural benefit is needed around the complete root system.

Combine with bark, coco husk chips, tree fern fibre or a suitable organic growing medium according to the required balance of air and moisture.

Avoid crushing the particles during mixing. Although this is a low-dust grade, transport can create a small amount of fine material. Lightly dampen or rinse it before handling if needed.
