New Zealand tree fern fibre creates a fibrous, moisture-retentive and aerated root environment without forming the dense texture associated with conventional potting soil.

Use it alone where appropriate or as a structural component when a substrate needs better moisture distribution while remaining open around the roots.

As a standalone medium: Fill the pot loosely, position the roots through the fibres and water thoroughly. Allow excess water to drain.

As a substrate component: Combine by volume with bark, chunky perlite, coco husk chips or mineral components. Every addition changes the balance between moisture retention and airflow, so adjust according to the plant, pot and growing conditions.

For propagation: Use lightly moist fibre around developing roots and maintain moisture without permanent saturation.

Do not compress the fibre tightly. It contains no added fertiliser and does not replace a suitable feeding routine for established plants.
