Place it on a flat surface with enough surrounding space for the raised sides. The mat helps contain materials kept within its edges, but sharp tools may pierce or cut the surface.

1. Unfold the mat on a flat surface.
2. Fasten all four corner buttons to raise the sides.
3. Place the plant, pot, substrate and tools inside the working area.
4. Repot or mix substrate while keeping loose material within the raised edges.
5. Collect any unused substrate before cleaning the mat.
6. Remove the pots and tools, then empty any remaining water.
7. Wipe or rinse the mat clean.
8. Allow it to dry completely before folding and storing it.

Take care not to pierce or cut the surface with sharp tools.
