In detail

Why this product?

Give your PlantScraper self-watering aroid pot a decorative finish, a larger reservoir and a more stable base.

The ventilated cover maintains airflow around the inner pot while concealing its clear walls. Check water through the integrated window, or lift away the upper cover to inspect roots without removing the plant from its pot.

Why it works
  • Larger integrated reservoir: Replaces the pot’s original reservoir entirely, increasing water capacity and helping reduce refill frequency.
  • Vertical ventilation openings: Allow air to circulate around the inner pot while reducing direct light exposure to its clear walls.
  • Magnetic connection: Lets you remove and refit the upper cover while the planted pot remains supported in the bottom reservoir.
  • Water level window: Shows how much water remains without taking the setup apart.
  • Wider base: Adds stability, particularly for climbing plants supported by a moss pole.
  • PETG construction: Designed and manufactured in Czechia for humid indoor setups and regular contact with water.

Water consumption still depends on your plant, substrate and growing conditions.

Best suited for

Indoor plants grown in mineral substrates, using matching PlantScraper self-watering aroid pots.

Choose the cover for your pot size: 12, 15, 18 or 21 cm. These measurements identify the compatible pot size, not the cover’s external diameter. Matching diameter alone does not guarantee compatibility with another pot range.

The covers work with PlantScraper self-watering moss pole anchors without affecting their fit or blocking the water level window. A matching anchor is strongly recommended when using a compatible moss pole: it secures the pole inside the pot, while the cover’s wider base supports the overall setup.

How to use it

Assemble the setup

  1. If using a wick, fit it according to the pot’s instructions before adding mineral substrate.
  2. If you already own the matching pot, remove its original reservoir. The cover’s reservoir replaces it.
  3. Position the inner pot in the cover’s bottom reservoir.
  4. Fit the ventilated upper section, aligning the magnetic connection.

A wick is helpful but optional. It provides an additional route for moisture to move from the reservoir into the substrate by capillary action.

Water and monitor the level

  • Water from the top through the substrate, allowing it to drain into the reservoir.
  • Pour gradually and allow time for drainage before adding more.
  • Watch the window and stop watering when the level reaches the top of the window.
  • Check regularly and top up as the level drops, keeping water available without exceeding the window’s upper limit.
  • Use the window to guide filling rather than pouring in the reservoir’s stated capacity.

The small tray around the bottom catches only a limited amount of accidental overflow and should normally remain dry. Empty collected water; do not use it as additional storage.

Inspect and maintain

Lift away the upper cover to inspect the clear inner pot while it remains supported in the reservoir.

  • Clean with water, mild soap and a soft cloth.
  • Rinse the reservoir to remove accumulated residue.
  • Keep ventilation openings clear.
  • Support the base when lifting or moving the assembled setup.
  • Handle with care: the projecting bottom tray can break if dropped or struck.
What’s included

Choose your option

  • Cover only: One ventilated upper section and one magnetic bottom reservoir per unit. Pot and wick are not included.
  • Cover + pot: One complete cover, one matching self-watering aroid pot and one wick per unit.

With cover + pot, the pot is supplied without its original reservoir, because the cover’s integrated reservoir replaces it entirely.

Available variants

  • Compatible pot size: 12, 15, 18 or 21 cm.
  • Colour: black, white or pink.
  • Pack size: 1, 3 or 6 units.

Reservoir capacities

Measured without the inner pot installed, compared with the matching pot’s original reservoir:

  • 12 cm: 400 ml, compared with 100 ml.
  • 15 cm: 950 ml, compared with 200 ml.
  • 18 cm: 1,500 ml, compared with 450 ml.
  • 21 cm: 1,800 ml, compared with 600 ml.

These are capacity measurements, not recommended refill amounts. Always fill according to the water level window.
