In detail

Why this product?

This self-watering anchor connects a classic moss pole directly to a compatible self-watering aroid pot.

It combines the structural stability of an anchor with a design that allows a wick to support capillary water movement from the reservoir.

Choose the standalone anchor when you already own the compatible pot and moss pole and need the self-watering anchoring component only.

Why it works
  • Mechanical stability: Connects the moss pole directly to the self-watering pot.
  • Wick-compatible construction: Allows water to move upward from the reservoir.
  • Correct moss pole geometry: Holds the pole in its required anchor-compatible closing position.
  • PETG construction: Designed for repeated exposure to water and fertiliser.
  • Reusable: Can be reused when rebuilding another compatible setup.
Best suited for
  • S: 12 cm self-watering aroid pot
  • M: 15 cm self-watering aroid pot
  • L: 18 cm self-watering aroid pot
  • XL: 21 cm self-watering aroid pot

Compatible only with PlantScraper classic moss poles and matching self-watering aroid pots.

How to use it

Install the anchor inside the empty self-watering pot before adding substrate and the plant.

Connect the moss pole using its anchor-compatible closing position and pass the wick through an opening at the base of the pole so sufficient wick remains inside the reservoir.

Use long-fibre sphagnum moss inside the pole when relying on capillary hydration.

A rapid dripper remains strongly recommended for hydrating the upper pole and delivering diluted fertiliser directly to aerial roots.

If you need the complete pole, pot, wick and anchor combination, choose the self-watering anchor set for classic moss poles.

What’s included
  • 1 PETG self-watering anchor in your selected size

Moss pole, self-watering pot, wick, sphagnum moss, substrate and rapid dripper are not included.
