This compact D-shaped moss pole is designed specifically for individual cuttings and very young climbing plants.

It gives a fresh cutting access to a small moist rooting zone without requiring a full-size pole, helping establish aerial roots and climbing behaviour early in the plant's development.

It is intentionally a propagation tool rather than a permanent long-term moss pole.

Once the cutting becomes established and begins active climbing growth, move it to appropriately sized classic moss poles or front-opening moss poles.

Fill the pole with lightly moist long-fibre sphagnum moss without compressing it excessively.

Position the cutting so the node and aerial root face the moist rooting surface.

Secure the stem gently if necessary and keep the moss consistently moist but not permanently saturated.

Once active roots appear, begin light fertilisation according to the plant's needs because sphagnum moss is not a complete source of plant nutrition.

The XS pole is not stackable and is not compatible with anchors or drippers. Transfer the plant to a larger system once it outgrows the propagation stage.
