A lightweight propagation substrate designed to provide closer root contact, consistent moisture and strong aeration around seeds, cuttings and developing root systems.

It is finer and more uniform than an adult aroid mix while retaining a high mineral fraction to prevent the young root zone from becoming dense and airless.

• 50% perlite: Keeps the root zone light, open and fast draining.
• 15% New Zealand tree fern fibre: Adds fibrous structure and helps distribute moisture around developing roots.
• 35% bioactive growing medium: Provides the moisture-retentive organic fraction.
• No coarse bark: Creates more consistent contact around small roots than mature plant formulas dominated by large particles.

Use directly from the bag. Fill propagation trays or small pots loosely and avoid heavy compression.

Moisten the substrate evenly after sowing or planting. Keep it consistently moist during establishment, but do not leave the developing root zone permanently saturated.

When using a propagation dome, provide periodic ventilation and monitor moisture carefully because enclosed containers dry more slowly.

The mix contains no added fertiliser. Begin suitable diluted feeding when seedlings or cuttings are established and actively growing.
