Start seeds, root small cuttings and propagate stem sections in one organised, reusable indoor growing system.

The XL box holds 40 removable propagation pots, allowing each seedling or cutting to be checked, moved and transplanted individually. Its clear humidity dome helps limit moisture loss during germination and early rooting, while the watertight base supports top or bottom watering.

Choose a complete set with adjustable ventilation or integrated lights, or purchase replacement pots and a base tray separately.

The dome clips lightly onto the base but is not a carrying handle. Always support the base when moving a filled box.

This box is designed for indoor propagation, including:

• Germinating seeds
• Rooting small cuttings in substrate
• Propagating aroid stem sections with viable nodes, often called wet sticks
• Raising seedlings until they are ready for individual transplanting
• Keeping larger propagation batches organised in a compact space

Use a fine, moisture-retentive seedling mix for seeds. For cuttings and stem sections, choose a propagation medium appropriate for the plant and rooting method.

The assembled box measures 44 × 30 × 14 cm, listed as external length × width × overall height. Each removable pot measures approximately 5 × 5 cm, listed as top width × height.

Choose plants and cuttings that fit comfortably beneath the 14 cm dome without being pressed against it.

1. Fill the pots with a propagation medium suited to your seeds or cuttings.
2. Moisten the medium and allow excess water to drain.
3. Sow the seeds or position the propagation material at the appropriate depth.
4. Arrange the pots in the two removable holders.
5. Fit the dome when additional humidity retention is beneficial.
6. Check moisture, root development and plant condition regularly.
7. With the vented set, gradually open the vents as the plants develop and require more air exchange.
8. Remove plants individually when they are ready to be transplanted.

For bottom watering, add a shallow layer of water to the base and allow the medium to absorb it through the drainage openings. Remove any water that remains once the substrate is sufficiently moist. Avoid leaving the pots continuously saturated unless this is specifically appropriate for the plant and medium.

Humidity supports germination and early rooting, but it does not eliminate the need for appropriate watering, hygiene and air exchange. The box cannot prevent mould or rot if conditions remain excessively wet.

Clean between propagation cycles

• Remove old substrate.
• Wash the plastic components with warm water and mild detergent.
• Remove the lights before cleaning.
• Keep the lights, cables and USB connections dry.
