Use Si Star when you want stronger leaves, stronger stems, and better stress resistance in your aroids.

Monsteras, Philodendrons, Anthuriums and Alocasias grow large, soft, tropical leaves. Indoors, these plants often deal with imperfect humidity, artificial light, heat from grow lights, inconsistent watering, and fast growth in lightweight chunky mixes.

Silicon helps support stronger cell walls and tougher plant structure. For houseplants, that means better resilience, stronger petioles, firmer leaves, and growth that can handle indoor stress better.

This is not about making plants “hard”. It is about helping soft tropical growth become more resistant.

Si Star is especially interesting for plants grown in high-performance indoor setups: chunky aroid mix, moss pole, grow light, self-watering pot, cabinet or high-humidity shelf. These plants grow fast, so they need stronger structure to keep up.

Mixing into substrate: Use 30-50 g per 10 L of substrate. Mix evenly before potting. Best when preparing fresh aroid mix or repotting into a new setup. For small indoor pots, start with the lower dose.

Watering: Use 5 g per 1 L of water. Mix well. Water the substrate from the top. Use once per week when the plant needs extra silicon support.

For self-watering pots: Apply from the top through the substrate. Do not pour the powder directly into the reservoir. The goal is to feed the root zone, not to create sediment in the water tank. After watering, exchange the water of the reservoir.

Top dressing: Use 80-100 g per m² once per month. For normal houseplants, this is mostly useful for large pots, greenhouse benches, plant walls or very big containers. For small indoor pots, substrate mixing or watering is usually more precise.

Best routine for aroid growers

• Use it when repotting into fresh aroid mix.
• Use it during active growth.
• Use it when plants are under strong light.
• Use it when climbing plants are pushing bigger leaves.
• Use it lightly and consistently, not aggressively.

Do not use it as a complete fertilizer. Si Star supports plant structure and stress resistance, but it does not replace balanced feeding.

Do not add it inside moss poles. Moss poles are not the correct place for silicon powder. Keep the pole clean and feed the root zone in the pot.

Do not pour it directly into LECA, Pon, semi-hydro or hydroponic reservoirs. This is a powder product, not a clean reservoir nutrient. It can settle, cloud the water, and create mineral buildup.

Do not add it directly into the reservoir of a self-watering pot. Apply it through the substrate from the top.

Do not use it to fix weak growth caused by low light. If your Monstera or Philodendron is stretching because it needs more light, silicon will not solve the real problem.

Do not use it to fix root rot. Stronger leaves will not help if the roots are suffocating. Fix the substrate and watering first.

Do not overdose small pots. More minerals do not mean better plants. Too much can create buildup and imbalance.

Do not mix it into strong fertilizer concentrates. Always dilute properly in water first and mix well.

Do not leave dry powder sitting on top of the substrate. Water it in properly.

Do not expect old weak leaves to become strong. Silicon mainly supports new growth and overall resilience.

Do not inhale the dust. Avoid contact with eyes and keep it away from children and animals.
