HESI PowerZyme is a liquid enzyme supplement derived from a Trichoderma fungus. Its cellulose-degrading enzymes convert dead root hairs and other cellulose-based residues into simpler components that can be used within the root-zone ecosystem.

PowerZyme is an enzyme supplement, not a fertiliser, rooting hormone, microbial inoculant or treatment for established root rot. Its role is to support ongoing root-zone maintenance.

Use PowerZyme with indoor or outdoor plants grown in:

• Organic potting substrates
• Coco-based growing media
• Hydroponic systems
• Semi-hydroponic and mineral substrates
• Compact pots where organic residue can accumulate around the roots
• Growing media being maintained over an extended cultivation period

It can also support the maintenance of reusable growing media, but it does not disinfect the substrate or remove pathogens, accumulated salts and old root material that require physical cleaning.

PowerZyme cannot compensate for waterlogged substrate, insufficient drainage or poor airflow. Plants showing root rot require the underlying cause to be identified and corrected.

Mix 2 ml of PowerZyme per litre of water or prepared nutrient solution.

Apply through the growing medium once or twice per week as part of the normal watering and feeding routine. Distribute the solution across the root zone rather than applying the concentrate directly to roots.

PowerZyme may be used continuously throughout the plant’s growing cycle and alongside a suitable base fertiliser. Continue to manage reservoir hygiene, drainage, aeration and watering according to the cultivation system.
