This standard anchor creates a stable mechanical connection between a front-opening moss pole and a compatible aroid pot.

It prevents the growing setup from relying entirely on substrate to resist the leverage created as a climbing plant becomes taller and heavier.

The result combines the root access and flexibility of a front-opening pole with a much stronger foundation at the base.

The letter indicates the front-opening moss pole size. The number indicates the top diameter of the compatible aroid pot in centimetres.

Install the anchor and pole inside the empty compatible pot before adding substrate and the plant.

The anchor occupies internal pot volume, so allow additional room for both the anchor and the developing root system. A diameter increase of approximately 4 to 8 cm compared with an equivalent unanchored setup is generally appropriate.

Use a properly aerated substrate such as premium aroid mix and secure the plant's main stem to the moss pole with a plant tie.

Adding the anchor after roots are established generally requires repotting, so install it from the beginning of long-term training.
