Build, expand or rearrange your IKEA RUDSTA Wide plant cabinet with individual clear acrylic shelves and magnetic pegboards designed specifically for the cabinet.

Choose a full shelf, an open U-shaped shelf or a magnetically mounted pegboard according to the layout your plants require.

Each purchase includes one selected component.

• Designed specifically for RUDSTA Wide: Components follow the cabinet’s internal dimensions and mounting positions.
• Two shelf layouts: Choose a complete growing level or preserve a central opening for taller plants.
• Clear PMMA acrylic: Keeps the cabinet visually open and allows the plants to remain the focus.
• Ventilation openings: Shelf perforations leave routes for air movement between growing levels.
• Magnetic pegboard installation: Mounts directly to the cabinet’s metal back panel without drilling.
• Expandable system: Add or reposition components as your collection and layout develop.
• No permanent modification: No drilling or cutting of the cabinet is required.

Each component is designed and manufactured in Czechia.

These components are designed exclusively for the IKEA RUDSTA Wide. They are not compatible with RUDSTA Tall or other cabinet models.

Choose the component that suits your layout:

• Full shelf: Creates a complete growing level and maximises the available surface for arranging multiple pots.
• U-shaped shelf: Provides planting space along the back and sides while leaving a large central opening for a taller plant to grow through from below.
• Magnetic pegboard: Creates a vertical mounting area for compatible plant holders, hooks and accessories.

The magnetic pegboard is compatible with selected IKEA SKÅDIS accessories and PlantScraper pegboard attachments, including hanging attachments for tower pot covers in these sizes:

• 5 cm
• 7 cm
• 9 cm
• 12 cm
• 15 cm

Choose pots whose bases fit fully within the shelf’s supporting sections, leaving clearance around the outer edges and the U-shaped shelf’s central opening.

Full and U-shaped shelves

The shelves replace the cabinet’s original glass shelves at the existing shelf positions. Both use the original IKEA shelf brackets, so additional brackets are not included or required.

Ensure the shelf is seated securely before adding plants. Distribute pots across the supported surface and account for their increased weight after watering.

Magnetic pegboard

Attach the pegboard directly to the cabinet’s metal back panel using the included magnetic mounting system. Position it towards the top, middle or bottom of the back panel according to your layout.

No drilling, cutting or permanent cabinet modification is required.

Before installation and cleaning

1. Check that you selected the correct component and confirm its fit before removing the protective film.
2. Remove the protective film from both sides of the acrylic. The film may make the surface appear cloudy, scratched or marked before removal.
3. Clean the acrylic with water, mild soap and a soft cloth.
4. Avoid abrasive cleaners, acetone, alcohol and alcohol-based products.

Empty shelves before repositioning them and support each component carefully during removal or installation.

U-shaped shelf

• 1 U-shaped shelf made from clear PMMA acrylic
• Overall width × depth: 77 × 34 cm
• Two side sections: 15 × 34 cm each
• Rear section: 13.5 cm deep
• Central opening: 47 × 20.5 cm
• Thickness: 8 mm

The shelf uses the cabinet’s original IKEA brackets. Additional brackets are not included.

Magnetic pegboard

• 1 clear PMMA acrylic pegboard
• 1 complete magnetic mounting system
• Width × height: 73 × 31 cm
• Thickness: 3 mm

All components are transparent. The cabinet’s dark metal back panel may make the installed pegboard appear black in photographs.

The cabinet, plants, pots, grow lights, fans, plant holders, hooks and decorative accessories are sold separately.
