Ensure your plants grow big and sturdy while staying securely supported by their moss poles. Our anchors address a common challenge with moss poles: stability. While not required, they offer an excellent solution to enhance the long-term security of your moss poles, giving you peace of mind as your plants thrive.

As your plants grow, so do your moss poles. However, with larger and heavier plants, stability can become an issue, and it’s only a matter of time before a top-heavy plant could tip over, risking damage to itself or its surroundings. That's where our anchors come in. They seamlessly connect your aroid pots with moss poles, creating a durable and functional structure that supports growth over time.

We especially recommend using these anchors if you're growing a large plant or planning to add more than 3 extensions to an S or M moss pole, or more than 2 extensions to an L or XL pole.

These anchors are specially designed to fit our aroid self-watering pots, which you can see in the product images.

For self-watering set ups, we recommend Sphagnum moss as filling media for the moss poles, not Moss Pole Mix.

Choosing the Right Anchor and Pot

When using a PlantScraper anchor system, it’s important to size up your pot to ensure both the anchor and your plant’s roots have enough space to thrive. We recommend increasing your pot size by 4 to 8 cm in diameter to accommodate the anchor system.

For example, if your Monstera is currently in a 10 cm pot, upgrading to a 15 or 18 cm pot will ensure ample room for root growth while securely fitting the anchor. This simple adjustment helps maintain stability and promotes healthy plant development over time.

Planning on using a dripper as well? This is highly recommended to keep the moss fertilized, as it needs regular nutrients.
