What this product is

The PlantScraper XS Propagation Moss Pole is a compact moss pole designed exclusively for rooting and growing plant cuttings.

It provides a stable, moisture-retentive surface that encourages early aerial root development in a controlled, compact format.

This product is not a climbing system. It is a propagation tool.

Why and when to use an XS propagation pole

This pole is intended for the earliest growth stage only.

Use it when:

  • rooting fresh cuttings
  • stabilizing a single young stem
  • preparing a tiny cutting to climb to a larger moss pole

Once the cutting is established, it should be transferred to a larger moss pole.
It is not designed to grow with the plant long-term.

Compatibility and limitations

The XS propagation pole is intentionally minimal.

  • Designed for single cuttings only
  • Not stackable
  • Not compatible with anchors or drippers
  • Not intended for mature or climbing plants

Its size and format make it ideal for small pots, propagation boxes, and shipping rooted cuttings.

Size and format
  • Height: 18.5 cm
  • Width: 2.5 cm
  • D-shape design for direct root-to-moss contact

The compact size ensures fast rooting, easy handling, and minimal transplant shock.

Watering and materials

Made from PET and polypropylene plastic, selected for durability, moisture resistance, and reuse.

  • Always water from the top
  • Keep moss evenly moist
  • Fertilize lightly only after roots appear, as moss contains no nutrients

The pole can be disassembled, cleaned, and reused across multiple propagation cycles.

Good to know
  • Moss is not included
  • Moss shown in images is for display purposes only
  • Designed for indoor use
  • Best suited for propagation of climbing aroids and similar plants
  • Once established, plants should be moved to a larger moss pole system
