Chilean long-fibre sphagnum moss for creating a moist, fibrous and aerated rooting environment around aerial roots, cuttings and epiphytic plants.

Its continuous fibres support capillary movement and hold moisture while preserving spaces for air and developing roots.

Place the required amount in water and allow it to rehydrate. Gently squeeze out excess water before use.

For moss poles: Fill evenly without compressing the moss tightly. Water from the top and keep it lightly moist rather than permanently saturated.

For propagation: Place lightly moist sphagnum around the node or developing roots while preserving airflow.

For orchids and custom mixes: Use alone where appropriate or combine with bark, tree fern fibre or other coarse components.

If the moss becomes completely dry, rewet it gradually in several passes. Established plants require appropriate fertilisation because sphagnum is not a complete nutrient source.
