In detail

Che cos'è questo prodotto

The PlantScraper Anchor Set for Classic moss poles is a complete stabilization system for training climbing plants long-term. It combines a standard aroid pot, a moss pole anchor, and a Classic Line D-shape moss pole into one integrated setup designed to support vertical growth and long-term structural stability.

This system works best when used from the beginning of training. If a plant is already very large or fully grown, it is usually better to take cuttings and start over, rather than forcing an anchor and moss pole onto an established structure.

Perché e quando usare un sistema di ancoraggio

As climbing plants grow taller and heavier, moss poles naturally become unstable. Regular pots do not secure vertical structures, which often leads to leaning or toppling over time.

The anchor physically locks the moss pole to the pot, transferring the plant’s weight into the anchor and container instead of relying on substrate alone. This provides immediate stability from day one and avoids repotting or structural fixes later.

Anchoring and moss pole size should always be planned based on the plant’s future size, not its current size. Large climbers should not start on small poles.

Compatibilità e dimensioni del vaso

This anchor set is engineered to work as one unified system.

  • Designed exclusively for PlantScraper Classic Line D-shape moss poles
  • Not compatible with front-opening moss poles
  • Not compatible with self-watering aroid pots
  • Not compatible with non-PlantScraper pots or moss poles

Pot sizing is critical for stability

  • When using an anchor, always size up your pot
  • Recommended increase is 4 to 8 cm in diameter
  • Example: a plant in a 10 cm pot should be upgraded to 16 or 18 cm when adding an anchor
  • Extra room is required for the anchor, the root system, and proper substrate placement
Capire la nomenclatura dei set

Each set name combines the moss pole size and the aroid pot diameter.

• The letter refers to the moss pole size
• The number refers to the top diameter of the aroid pot in centimeters

Examples:
S10 means an S size moss pole with a 10 cm aroid pot
XL28 means an XL size moss pole with a 28 cm aroid pot

Tutori S:
• capacità sfagno circa 15 g
• capacità mix circa 0,4 L

Tutori M:
• capacità sfagno circa 20-35 g
• capacità mix circa 0,6-1 L

Tutori L:
• capacità sfagno circa 40-60 g
• capacità mix circa 1,1-1,7 L

Tutori XL:
• capacità sfagno circa 70-110 g
• capacità mix circa 2-3 L

Irrigazione, fertilizzazione e materiali

This anchor system is designed to handle constant moisture, fertilization, and long-term indoor use.

The anchor is made from PETG plastic, chosen for its strength and resistance to water and fertilizers. The aroid pot is made from PET plastic. Both materials are suitable for permanent exposure to moisture without softening, cracking, or degrading over time.

Drippers are strongly recommended with anchored moss poles.

  • Drippers hydrate the moss pole from the top, where aerial roots actively grow
  • Enable controlled watering and precise fertilization through the pole
  • Especially useful for tall or stacked setups

Dripper size selection for anchored moss poles

  • S sets use S drippers
  • M sets use M2 drippers
  • L sets use L3 drippers
  • XL sets use XL3 drippers
FAQ e informazioni utili
  • Sphagnum moss is not included. Moss shown in images is for display purposes only
  • Designed for indoor use
  • Best suited for climbing aroids and similar plants
  • A long-term solution for growers who want maximum stability

Important growing principles

  • Climbing plants are trained long-term, not supported temporarily. Garden ties are essential to guide growth
  • Moss poles, anchors, and pots must be chosen based on the plant’s future size, not its current size. Anchors and drippers are optional, but strongly recommended
  • Starting too small almost always leads to repotting, rebuilding, and stress later. Large climbers like Monsteras should start directly on XL moss poles, even when young
  • Stability is not an upgrade. Anchoring should be planned from day one
  • If you plan to take cuttings often or regularly change pole size, front-opening moss poles are the better option. Classic moss poles are designed for low-maintenance, stable growth
  • Moss poles must always be watered from the top and fertilized regularly, as moss and moss pole mix contain no nutrients
  • Moss poles should be extended in advance. Once roots reach the top, extending becomes difficult without disturbance
  • A high-quality aroid mix with proper drainage is non-negotiable for the pot
  • If you already have a fully grown plant, taking cuttings and starting over is usually the best approach when transitioning to a moss pole
