In detail

What this product is

The Single Anchor is a standalone stabilization anchor designed for Classic Line D-shape moss poles in aroid pots.
It physically locks the moss pole to the pot, transferring weight into the anchor and container instead of relying on substrate alone.

A moss pole is required to use this product.
Pairing with a standard aroid pot is optional but strongly recommended for proper stability.

This anchor is built for long-term plant climbing, not temporary support.

Why and when to use a moss pole anchor

Climbing plants gain height and weight quickly. Without anchoring, moss poles tend to lean, rotate, or topple over time.

This anchor should be used from the very beginning when poling up a plant.
Adding an anchor later usually requires repotting and root disturbance.

Anchoring and moss pole size must be planned based on the plant’s future size, not its current size.
Large climbers, such as Monsteras, should never start on small poles.

Compatibility and pot sizing

This anchor is engineered to work as one unified system with PlantScraper components.

  • Compatible only with PlantScraper Classic Line D-shape moss poles
  • Not compatible with front-opening moss poles
  • Not compatible with self-watering aroid pots
  • Not compatible with non-PlantScraper pots or moss poles

Pot sizing is critical for stability

  • When using an anchor, always size up your pot.
  • Recommended increase is 4 to 8 cm in diameter compared to a regular setup.
  • The anchor occupies internal space, so extra room is required for the anchor itself
Understanding size naming

Each option combines the moss pole size and the pot diameter it is designed to fit.

  • The letter refers to the moss pole size
  • The number refers to the pot top diameter in centimeters

Examples

  • S10 = S size moss pole in a 10 cm aroid pot
  • M16 = M size moss pole in a 16 cm aroid pot
  • XL28 = XL size moss pole in a 28 cm aroid pot
Watering, fertilization, materials, and practical notes

The anchor is made from PETG plastic, selected for strength and long-term resistance to water and fertilizers.
It does not soften, crack, or degrade under constant moisture.

Drippers are strongly recommended with anchored moss poles:

  • Hydrate the moss pole from the top
  • Allow controlled watering and precise fertilization
  • Especially useful for tall or stacked setups

Dripper size for anchored setups

  • S anchored poles use S drippers
  • M anchored poles use M2 drippers
  • L anchored poles use L3 drippers
  • XL anchored poles use XL3 drippers

Good to know

  • This listing is for one anchor only
  • Moss pole, pot, substrate or dripper are not included
  • Designed for indoor use
  • Best suited for climbing aroids and similar plants
  • A long-term solution for growers who want maximum stability and control
