A pot cover can do much more than improve the appearance of a growing pot.

When paired with a transparent inner pot, the right cover can shield the root zone from direct light while keeping the inner pot removable for root inspection.

Depending on the design, a PlantScraper pot cover can provide ventilation, a drip tray, a larger water reservoir, self-watering functionality or additional functionality for tower pots.

The important distinction is that a functional pot cover should work with the growing system rather than simply hide the pot.

Most decorative cachepots are designed primarily around appearance. PlantScraper pot covers are designed around appearance and root-zone functionality.

Depending on the system, they can provide ventilation around clear aroid pots, protection from direct light, reduced conditions for algae growth, increased reservoir capacity, conversion into reservoir-based self-watering systems and self-watering functionality for tower aroid pots.

The cover becomes part of the growing system, not simply decoration around it.

Choose according to how you want to grow and water the plant.

A ventilated cover is the better choice when airflow around the pot remains important. It is particularly suitable for airy substrate mixes, Anthuriums, conventional top watering and moss pole setups.

A sealed cover creates an outer reservoir around a compatible clear aroid pot, allowing the setup to function as a self-watering system when used with a wick and suitable substrate.

Ventilated means maximum airflow. Sealed means reservoir-based watering.

Yes, with the correct PlantScraper system.

A compatible sealed cover can act as the outer water reservoir while the clear aroid pot becomes the removable inner growing pot.

A self-watering wick connects the reservoir to the substrate and gradually moves water upward through capillary action.

Use a compatible clear pot, correctly sized sealed cover, wick, suitable mineral substrate and appropriate fertilisation.

It can significantly reduce the conditions that encourage algae by blocking much of the light reaching the moist root zone.

A removable pot cover lets you keep the root zone darker during normal growth and remove the cover whenever you want to inspect the roots.

A cover cannot guarantee that algae will never appear. Moisture, nutrients, temperature and light exposure all influence algae growth.

A conventional closed decorative pot can restrict airflow around a highly ventilated inner pot.

That is why PlantScraper offers ventilated pot covers designed to preserve the function of the growing pot inside them.

If maximum ventilation is your priority, choose a ventilated cover rather than placing the pot inside a completely closed decorative container.

It depends on the type of cover.

For a ventilated cover with a drip tray, remove the pot and upper cover together, water normally and allow excess water to drain before returning the plant to the tray.

For a sealed self-watering cover, add water to the reservoir and allow the wick and suitable substrate to move moisture gradually toward the roots.

For ventilated covers for self-watering aroid pots, the lower section functions as an additional reservoir while the upper structure maintains ventilation.

For tower pot covers, the reservoir and wick provide self-watering functionality while the ventilated outer structure keeps the setup open around the growing pot.

PlantScraper pot covers are made from PETG, a durable thermoplastic well suited to long-term indoor growing systems.

PETG performs well around repeated moisture exposure, water reservoirs, fertiliser solutions, humid indoor environments and repeated handling.

PlantScraper pot covers are designed and manufactured in Czechia.
